Your tour begins with a warm welcome at Tangier airport, one of the city’s ports or your hotel, where you’ll meet the friendly local guide who will look after you throughout the trip. From there, we take a scenic drive to Chefchaouen, a charming town tucked into the beautiful Rif Mountains of northern Morocco. On arrival, settle into your cozy hotel or riad among the town’s famous blue streets, then take your time exploring its lively markets, charming cafés and authentic Moroccan food. In the evening, relax at your riad or hotel and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere after your first day in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast at your riad, we drive through the charming villages of the Rif, enjoying the peaceful beauty of the Moroccan countryside. Our first stop is Volubilis, famous for its ancient Roman ruins. Here you’ll see well-preserved mosaics and impressive public buildings dating back to the 3rd century, offering a fascinating glimpse into the daily lives of the Romans who once lived here. We then continue to Meknes, Morocco’s capital in the 17th century. After lunch, we explore its historic walled medina and the famous Bab el Mansour gate, whose beautiful carvings are a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship. We also visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, an important religious site dedicated to the sultan. After a day full of history and culture, we arrive in Fes, where you’ll relax at a charming riad for the night.
Today, enjoy a full-day exploration of Fes, a city renowned for its rich history and vibrant culture. As one of Morocco’s imperial cities, Fes is a center of cultural and religious life, with countless historic treasures to discover. We begin with a drive to see the gates of the Royal Palace, then step into the winding alleys and busy streets of the medieval medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll visit famous landmarks such as Al-Qarawiyyin University, the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain and the Chouara Tanneries, admiring their detailed architecture and learning about their history. Next, explore the Jewish quarter, known as the Mellah, and discover the story of Fes’s Jewish community. To finish, visit an old fortress offering beautiful panoramic views over the medina and the city. With an experienced local guide by your side, it’s a wonderful way to dive deep into the history and culture of Fes.
After breakfast at your riad, get ready for an exciting desert adventure as we head south toward Merzouga, with a pleasant stop in Ifrane to enjoy the scenery. Our route then passes through a cedar forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you may see Barbary apes in their natural habitat. We break for lunch at a local restaurant along the way and enjoy the views of the Ziz Valley with its lush palm oasis. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, where your camel caravan sets off across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Along the way, we stop on a high dune to watch a breathtaking sunset before arriving at a luxury desert camp. Settle into your private tent, enjoy a delicious dinner, then gather around the campfire under the stars as the camp team plays traditional Berber music, and you can even try drumming along.
Wake up early to watch a breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, return from the camp to Merzouga by camel or 4×4, where your driver will be ready to continue the journey to the Dades Valley. Along the way, you can explore the lively market in Rissani on market days (Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday) and take a walk through the beautiful Todra Gorge to admire this deep canyon. In the Dades Valley, you’ll see the remarkable rock formations known as “monkey fingers” and enjoy a scenic drive with panoramic views of the Dades Gorges before arriving at your hotel for a relaxing evening and night.
Today we drive to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa” and the “Gateway to the Desert.” Here you’ll have the chance to visit Atlas Studios, the largest film studio in Morocco, and step onto famous movie sets. We then continue to Ait Ben Haddou to discover its ancient kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has appeared in famous films such as Gladiator and Prince of Persia, as well as the hit series Game of Thrones. Wander through its historic lanes and admire its remarkable architecture. After lunch at a restaurant, we cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains, stopping to take in the spectacular views of Morocco’s rugged landscapes. We reach Marrakech in the late afternoon and check into a charming riad in the heart of the medina. In the evening, enjoy dinner at your riad or at a restaurant in the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.
Your final day begins with breakfast at your riad. Your friendly local Marrakech guide will then show you the city’s highlights, sharing stories about famous landmarks such as Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrasa and the Koutoubia Mosque. After lunch, discover the modern side of Marrakech with a visit to the beautiful Majorelle Garden.
