Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all tours and services booked with Desert Exploration Trips (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Merzouga, Morocco. By making a booking, you agree to these terms on behalf of everyone in your group.

1. Bookings and Confirmation

• Your booking is confirmed once we have received your deposit and sent you a written booking confirmation by email.
• The person who makes the booking (the lead traveler) must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for passing on all booking information to the other members of the group.
• Please check your confirmation carefully and tell us straight away if any details are wrong.

2. Prices and Payment

• Prices depend on the tour, the season, the number of travelers and the accommodation you choose, and are confirmed in your written quote.
• A deposit confirms your booking. It can be paid by bank transfer, PayPal or Wise.
• The balance is paid in cash on the first day of your tour, in euros, US dollars or Moroccan dirhams, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
• Reservation and processing fees are non-refundable.

3. Cancellations and Changes

If you need to cancel or change your booking, our Booking & Cancellation Policy applies. It explains how to send your request and the refund you are entitled to, depending on the season and how much notice you give.

4. Changes to Your Itinerary

We always do our best to follow your itinerary. However, we may need to change the route, timings, accommodation or activities because of weather, road conditions, local events, safety concerns or other circumstances beyond our control. When this happens, we will offer a suitable alternative of similar standard wherever possible.

5. Your Responsibilities

• You must hold a valid passport and any visa required to enter Morocco. Entry requirements can change, so please check them with your nearest Moroccan consulate before you travel.
• We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, cancellation and personal belongings.
• Please tell us before booking about any medical condition, mobility issue or dietary need that may affect your trip, so that we can plan accordingly.
• Please respect local customs, the people you meet and the natural environment, and follow the safety instructions of your driver and guides.

6. Activities

Activities such as camel treks, sandboarding, quad biking and hiking involve some physical effort and natural risks. You take part at your own discretion and must follow the instructions given by your guide. Your guide may refuse participation if they believe it is unsafe.

7. Liability

We carefully select the hotels, camps, drivers and partners we work with. We are not liable for loss, injury, damage, delay or extra costs caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural events, strikes, flight delays, illness or the actions of third parties. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable law.

8. Photos and Reviews

We may ask whether we can use photos or reviews you share with us on our website or social media. We will never use your photos without your permission.
